About John Howardson Dance
At John Howardson Dance, we teach a high quality of dance lessons to the dancing public. We train dance students from beginner on up in WEDDING DANCE LESSONS, PRIVATE DANCE LESSONS, GROUP CLASSES, and more!
We also train people to become DANCE TEACHERS and DANCE TEACHING ASSISTANTS (T.A.’s).
We follow official step lists ( eg. I.S.T.D., I.D.T.A., N.D.C.A., and D.V.I.D.A. ), that are used all over the world. We also teach some original “tricks, flips, and dips” – just for fun.
(a) Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Open Levels for dance students, and
(b) Student Teacher, Associate, Licentiate, and Fellow for certified dance teachers.

JOHN HOWARDSON DANCE emphasizes the International and American styles for all the dances, all the levels, as well as some fun satellite dances such as Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Lindy Hop, Charleston, and other less formal ( more social ) styles.
A progressive dance approach is emphasized, from one level to the next and upward, in order to build good dance foundation, proper lead and follow techniques, fluidity of movement, correct characterization of the dances, musical understanding, interpretation, rhythm, timing, and much much more.
